Justin Ichida, Megan McCain and Dion Dickman have won one of the inaugural Eli and Edythe Broad Innovation Awards in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at USC. In their project, they will create a new “organ-on-a-chip” approach for studying amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
